Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso Concept Previews the Brand’s Next Chapter
A 2+2 hybrid concept with a truncated tail and roof-mounted door controls hints at the design of future Alfas.
Alfa Romeo’s Cuorerosso (“Red Heart”) concept is one of the more emotional reveals of the autumn, and the brand says it previews the design direction of every future model.
Design
The Cuorerosso follows Alfa’s “Bellezza Necessaria” (necessary beauty) philosophy. It features a classic Coda Tronca truncated tail with twin circular lamps, a Scudetto-shaped rear window and a reinterpreted triangular grille. Flush glazing and roof-mounted touch controls replace conventional door handles, and a reported drag coefficient of 0.28 shows a focus on efficiency.
Layout and size
- Four-seat 2+2 cabin with rear-hinged rear doors
- Length 4,700 mm, width 1,980 mm, height 1,331 mm
- Wheelbase 2,930 mm
Power: still unofficial
Reports suggest a V6 hybrid powertrain with around 557 bhp, but Alfa Romeo has not confirmed the figures. What is confirmed is that the next-generation Giulia and Stelvio will use the STLA Large platform with hybrid and electric options, part of a multi-energy strategy.
No regional pricing or arrival dates have been announced. When Alfa’s new models do arrive in the Gulf, buyers should ask for GCC-specification details, including proof of cooling performance in extreme summer heat.
