JETOUR G700 Ark Edition Takes to the Water at Global Technology Experience Day
JETOUR used its 2026 Global Technology Experience Day to put the G700 Ark Edition through an on-water navigation trial, with international media taking the wheel.
JETOUR’s premium G Series stole a good part of the spotlight at the brand’s 2026 Global Technology Experience Day in China, where the G700 Ark Edition completed an emergency navigation trial at the G Series’ dedicated navigation base before visiting journalists were invited to drive it themselves.
The demonstration was designed to show something the off-road world rarely sees from a production vehicle: controlled movement on open water, followed by a seamless return to land.
What GAIA Ark Tech does
At the heart of the Ark Edition is GAIA Ark Tech, part of the G Series’ wider all-terrain technology system. JETOUR positions it for emergency rescue, outdoor exploration and demanding field work, essentially pushing a vehicle’s mobility past the point where conventional terrain ends.
- A comprehensive body sealing system
- An intelligent navigation stability system to keep the vehicle composed on water
- A dedicated 800V water-fording system, integrated with the CEM-O amphibious range-extender
- IP68-rated protection for key components
When navigation mode is engaged, the powertrain diverts energy to the water-fording system, giving the driver forward propulsion and steering control while afloat.
Same foundations as the standard G700
JETOUR stresses that the Ark Edition is not a one-off modified showpiece. It shares the GAIA all-terrain intelligent architecture of the regular G700, with the same core technology and quality standards. One European media representative at the event described it as a genuine production-grade amphibious vehicle rather than a concept-level conversion, praising its stability on the water and its retained land capability.
Why it matters for the region
JETOUR has grown quickly across the Gulf, and its off-road-focused line-up plays well with buyers who spend weekends in the dunes and wadis. While the Ark Edition’s regional availability has not been announced, the technology shows how far the brand is willing to stretch the G Series’ credentials as it moves further into the premium off-road segment.
