“We Heard You” is the slogan, and UAE pickup fans will know exactly what it means. Al-Futtaim Trading Enterprises, RAM’s authorised distributor, has reintroduced the 5.7-litre HEMI V8 to the RAM 1500 range after more than a year in which local buyers could only order the twin-turbo Hurricane inline-six.

The numbers

  • Engine: 5.7-litre HEMI V8 with 48-volt eTorque mild-hybrid assistance
  • Output: 395 hp and 556 Nm
  • Gearbox: eight-speed automatic
  • Towing: up to 5,266 kg
  • Payload: 748 kg
  • Fuel tank: 125 litres

The eTorque system replaces the alternator with a belt-driven motor-generator that adds short bursts of torque when pulling away and smooths stop-start operation, without dulling the V8’s character.

Three ways to have it

Rebel is the off-road choice, with performance-tuned suspension, an electronic locking rear differential, skid plates and all-terrain tyres. Limited focuses on luxury with leather and real wood trim, while the Limited Night Edition adds 22-inch black wheels and blacked-out exterior details. All three get a 14.4-inch Uconnect screen, 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.

More V8s to come

UAE prices were not announced at launch, so buyers will need to contact Al-Futtaim’s RAM showrooms. Looking further ahead, RAM plans to bring the supercharged 1500 TRX and the Rumble Bee muscle truck to the Middle East in 2027.
