Saudi Arabia’s first national car brand finally has cars to show. On September 21, 2026, Ceer revealed the Exobot sedan and Exobot SUV, two premium electric models designed and engineered in the Kingdom, with customer deliveries promised for March 2027.

Serious performance

Ceer is aiming high. The most powerful versions of the Exobot twins promise more than 1,100 hp, putting them in the same conversation as the fastest luxury EVs on sale. Pricing has not yet been announced.

Who is behind it

  • Ownership: majority-owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), in partnership with Taiwan’s Foxconn
  • Platform: Foxconn
  • Electric motors: Croatia’s Rimac and South Korea’s Hyundai Transys
  • Licensed technology: some component technology from BMW
  • Factory: King Abdullah Economic City, north of Jeddah, designed for up to 240,000 vehicles a year

CEO James DeLuca has said production will begin early next year. Ceer plans further models over the next five years and wants to source almost half of its components locally by 2034.

The market challenge

Saudi buyers purchase close to a million new vehicles a year, but EVs remain a small slice of that total, and the regional EV market is led by BYD and Tesla. Analysts point out that Ceer’s opening models sit closer to the premium end of the market, and that the brand will need competitive pricing and a broad dealer and service network to succeed, both at home and in export markets.
